Public Affairs Office

The NAVAIR Lakehurst Public Affairs Office (PAO) plans, directs and implements the public affairs programs for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL), Lakehurst, NJ.

The PAO conducts media relations (interviews, photo/video opportunities, news releases), internal relations and community relations. Services provided include: serving as official spokesperson, distribution of news releases, response to media queries, photography support, protocol support for distinguished visitors, community relations, speakers bureau, security policy review and coordination of publicity programs for major command events.

Base Tours – Historical tours of the Navy Lakehurst facilities are conducted by the Navy Lakehurst Historical Society (NLHS) every Wednesday and on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. Requests for tours must be made two weeks in advance. Information on tours can be obtained by calling 732-818-7520. The NLHS can also be accessed at their web site: www.nlhs.com and emailed at tourguide@nlhs.com

Facility Use – All requests for facility use need to be made through the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Public Affairs Office. They may be contacted at 609-754-2104 or through email at: 87.abw.pa@us.af.mil

Speakers Bureau – All requests for Navy speakers on the roles and mission of NAVAIR and the Navy at Lakehurst need to be made in writing at least two months in advance of the engagement date. It is the policy of the PAO to make every effort possible to provide a speaker.

What is required: Name of organization, name/address and telephone number of point of contact, date of the event, time, expected length of presentation, location, type of meeting, equipment available to the speaker (i.e. podium, laptop, screen, etc.).
