CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. (Oct. 30, 2014) An MV-22 Osprey arrives at tactical landing zone Lark to pick-up senior officials during Exercise Bold Alligator 2014 (BA14). Bold alligator is intended to improve Navy and Marine Corps amphibious core competencies. Working with coalition, NATO, allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces. The 24th MEU Marines and Sailors embarked vessels of the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group, marking the onset of their six-month deployment. The 24th MEU is among the most versatile military units in the world and stands ready to perform a full spectrum of missions ranging from humanitarian relief to full-scale combat operations.
