Virtual Warfare Environments

The Division provides credible, repeatable models of highly complex, interactive and reactive environments that are used across the Department of Defense (DoD) and Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) for training, testing, analysis and experimentation. The facility utilizes and supports multiple warfare environment models and is the developer of two–government owned, license–free mission–level models. These conflict simulation models support acquisition decision, warfare analysis, aircraft and aircraft systems ground testing and evaluation, and training.

Virtual Warfare Environments include:

• Next Generation Threat System (NGTS)
• Naval Simulation Systems (NSS)
