The closest commercial airport to Cherry Point is Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, in New Bern. Approximately 20 miles from the air station, it is serviced by USAir/Henson Regional Airlines, with a major connecting point at Charlotte, N.C., which has connections to all major airports. The Albert J. Ellis Airport in Onslow County (near Jacksonville) is approximately 65 miles from Cherry Point. It is served by USAir/Henson Regional Airlines with five flights daily connecting to Raleigh-Durham, N.C.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Baltimore, Md. Limousine and taxi services are available, as well as car rentals.
Kinston Airport is serviced by USAir, which also offers daily flights. Kinston Airport has connections with nationwide service through either Charlotte or the Baltimore-Washington International Airport. For reservations call 1-800-428-4322.
From South Carolina: Take N I-95 to 70 E. Follow 70 E to Havelock.
From Tennessee: Take 40 East to 70 E. Follow 70 E to Havelock.
From Virginia: Take 85 S, 95 S to 70 E. Follow 70 E to Havelock.
Alternate Virginia Route: Take 64 S to 13 W, Take 13W to 17 S, Take 17 S to 70 E. Follow 70 East to Havelock.
From Georgia: Follow N I-85 to 40 E, Take 40 E to 70 E. Follow 70 E to Havelock.
From west side of Havelock, make a left on Hwy 101 (Fontana) and the very next left is MCAS Cherry Point. The visitors Center is located to the right of the gate and is where you will need to check in.
