Mission Statement
The Total Force Strategy and Management Department (TFSMD) mission is to
facilitate the acquisition, development and retention of skilled and
flexible civilian workforce for the following components of the NAST, NASC HQ, PEO, NAWCAD
(Pax and Lakehurst). In part, this includes serving
as principal advisor
to the Commander on policy and Federal regulations
governing personnel and EEO; providing policy guidance, advice, and
assistance on personnel matters to competency management; developing and
executing the human resources management strategic plans, goals, and
objectives;
interfacing on human resources issues with the Office of the DASN (CP/EEO), Office of Personnel Management,
other
government and
private organizations.
The TFSMD vision - to provide reliable and timely
guidance and advice to customers who are challenged
to accomplish more
with less while functioning in a multi-competency, multi-site
environment. This will be accomplished by Human Resources being
recognized as a full member of the management team providing
a high level
of advisory services emphasizing improved communications, support and
efficient business practices.
