Air Combat Electronics
PMA209 provides, integrates, and supports cost-effective, world-class transformational airborne capability-centric solutions.  These solutions support the needs of common warfighter safety, connectivity, computing, and interoperability. PMA209 provides PEOs/PMs with products and support in the areas of communication and airborne networking, navigation and flight operations, and mission systems and sensors. As NAVAIR's executive agent for the management of air combat electronic systems, PMA209 is responsible for providing fully developed, supportable, and reliable systems to the operating forces which will satisfy approved operational requirements via coordinated program management with platform PEOs/PMs. PMA209 also maintains Core Capability Roadmaps for NAVAIR/PEOs that track air combat electronic technology evolution in correlation with associated platform requirements; supports platform PMAs with Core Capability acquisition planning related to air combat electronic technology and provide solutions, where appropriate, which meet platform requirements as an integral member of the platform's IPT; coordinates requirements for Core Avionics Technology solutions across all platform PEOs/PMAs; maximizes common solutions across the Naval Aviation Enterprise, where appropriate, in coordination with platform PEOs/PMAs, with the ultimate purpose of maximizing cost-wise readiness.
